Amélia Arnoult, multi-lingual PR strategist, Bilbao, Spain

Amélia is a multi-lingual strategic communications specialist and has represented some of the most trusted institutions and organisations around the world, including Unicef, regional development agencies, government bodies and charities. She speaks English, French, Spanish and Basque.

 

Samson Dada, media relations strategist, Manchester, UK

 

Before he joined Essential Content, Samson was delivering big results for the likes of Google, Hewlett Packard and Ford, plus emerging start-ups. He’s the link between our clients and the media, leading outreach, media relations and comms strategy.

Samson has an exceptional record of delivering big results for brands that are working with a PR agency for the first time.

 

Georgette Kareithi, publicist, Nairobi, Kenya

 

One of three former journalists in our team, Georgette has more than 10 years’ communications experience in nongovernmental organisations, plus agency-side experience with Avid PR, part of BSD Group. She has developed and delivered innovative communication strategies for organisations including Kenya Wildlife Services, WWF, Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, Society for the Performing Arts, Healthcare NOW, VSO-J, Society for International Development, AMREF, Red Cross Society, Oxfam, and Vital Voices.

 

Helen McCarthy, copywriter, Lancashire, UK

 

Helen has 8 years’ experience creating engaging marketing, SEO, PR, and editorial content for big and small brands and international agencies, including MBNA, Lloyds Banking Group, Reed, Appear Here, GQ, and Buzzfeed. Her laser-focused awareness of tone of voice means she can craft press releases, website content, email marketing, long and short-form articles, video scripts, and anything else a client needs to communicate effectively with the right audience. Helen has written copy for agencies, in-house, and as a freelancer, giving her a full range of experience with clients in finance, professional services, consumer goods, the charity sector, technology, and more.

 

Greg Moakes, client Services director, healthcare & pharma, Dallas, Texas, USA

 

Before moving into the communications industry, Greg spent more than 20 years leading client services and business development teams in the pharmaceuticals and chemicals sector, developing pioneering partnerships across the globe. Greg now leads our new business and client services team, helping our clients discover their own communications requirements and developing winning strategies.

 

Louise Muyanja, content designer, London, UK

 

Louise has worked on large transformational projects on behalf of banks, insurers and multinational consumer goods companies in her capacity as a UX Writer with Essential Content. Her role involves producing accessible and consistent copy for digital products, and helping brands to improve their overall user experience. She has more than four years experience as a researcher and writer. Her previous experience includes roles at Virgin Media and Which?

 

Becky Newmarch, account director, Lincoln, UK

 

Becky leads our account delivery teams and is the main point of contact for our clients. And they’re in good hands. Becky has managed campaigns for global companies including Dyson and Unilever as well as delivering campaigns for international governments, development agencies and tourist boards.

 

Sean O’Meara, managing director, Manchester, UK

Sean is a seasoned communications advisor and best-selling author who has advised brands in the banking, finance, investment, insurance and health sectors. He founded Essential Content in 2015 with a vision to establish a remote-first communications consulting practice that did the ‘boring, but important’ stuff better than any other agency.

In 2018, he co-authored, along with world-renowned organisational psychologist Professor Sir Cary Cooper, the chart-topping communications strategy book The Apology Impulse, described by Julia Hobsbawm OBE, founder of Hobsbawm Macaulay Communications, as a “highly important book”.

He’s written extensively on the topic of communications strategy, including columns for The Telegraph and CityAM.

Daily Mail journalist Tom Cotterill referred to him as a ‘PR guru’.

 

Alison Steed, content lead, Kent, UK

 

Alison is an award-winning journalist, writer, broadcaster and is the former deputy personal finance editor of The Daily Telegraph. She’s a highly-respected commentator on personal finance issues and an accomplished writer, editor and broadcaster, having regularly contributed to The Times, The Sunday Times, The Daily and Sunday Telegraph, the Daily and Sunday Express and The Sun.

Alison has delivered content for some of the world’s biggest corporations, including Aviva, Moneycorp, OFX, Citigroup, Scottish Widows, Legal & General, Aegon, Baker Tilly, PayPal, Allianz, Standard Life Healthcare, Nationwide, Infinity Financial Solutions (Asia), gosimply.com, Moneysupermarket.com, WeKnowMoney.com, Money.co.uk, Polhill Communications, FWD, AJ Bell, WPA, Delio, FXCompared, and the Financial Conduct Authority. Alison was responsible for writing a significant part of the FSA’s (as it was at the time) consumer-facing website for its first incarnation.
